Well now we all know how popular Web 2.0 graphics and designs are becoming, now I love simple designs now I will show you how to make this web 2.0 header, for those who are interested I will show how to code it also!

In this tutorial you will learn how to make things simple with few colors and how to make Web 2ish look on logo text and buttons (like the search button on the right)

Here you have the complete final easy web 2.0 black and white header!



Now make a new document (File --> New? ) I used this size 800x225px.
The first thing you do is make a new layer (CTRL+SHIFT+N), now use the rectangle tool and make a selection from top and about 190px height, fill it with gradient tool.

Now select the gradient tool in the right choose colors ?Black? to ?White?, now add the gradient to the selected area. Look at image below to se from witch point to witch.



Play around with it some to make it suit your style! Well now that you have made that only thing left is to make the border around the black and white rectangle. Well on your layer on your right side; right click on that particular layer and chose ?Blending Options? now add the stroke to your header. With these settings:



Now move on the next step on how to make the text and sign! :)
