You can then add text to the button. Remember to put it under the oval's layer to have the highlight effect used on the text too. (The text colour cannot be black (#000000) or the effect won't work, dark grey (#333333) often looks pretty much the same as black anyway.)

Hi,
It all works fine, but the last step, when i click gradient tool and use it on the layer mask the entire font just becomes a bit lighter, i guess its something with the gradient color, but honestly i have no idea. Everything else is great, and your Battlefield 2142 header is awesome!
Btw. did you add any shadows or glows to the vertical lines which u get by brushing it, because in your header they look thicker than in mine.
